People often ask a question about a scary figure called the Antichrist. But there are two big problems with this question. First, some people like to make those they disagree with seem really bad in the United States and other places. They call them the Antichrist, meaning they say that person is like the devil. Some folks thought President Bill Clinton was the Antichrist, and others thought the same about President George Bush. People who didn’t like President Barack Obama also called him the Antichrist. But here’s the thing – the Antichrist in the Bible isn’t about politics. It’s not about whether someone is conservative or progressive.
Second, some Christians in the United States forget that the Bible talks about the end times centering around Israel, not the United States. The Bible doesn’t say anything about the United States in the end times. So, while the United States might have something to do with the Antichrist, it’s possible that the United States won’t even be around when the end times happen.
